excited

Come listen to living prophets

I am SUPER excited for the weeks coming up!

My madre is in the air as we speak coming to visit all the way from Dallas. My sisters and Katherine will be here a week from today. I am SO excited to show them around and to experience the east coast a little bit together. We are also taking the train from Philly to New York next week and will spend a couple of days there as well.

Our itinerary will look something like this:

~ See Independence Hall, Liberty Bell, Etc.
~ Go to Amish Country ( Lancaster Area)
~ Hit up Reading Terminal & the 4 story Anthropologie
~ Go on lovely walks everyday at the beautiful park
~ Eat a Philly Cheesesteak
~ Gotta have them try Ritas waterice. Yum.
~ Show them the ghetto sites of Philadelphia
~ Rocky Steps
~ Eat at yummy places
~ Go to NYC ( do all the touristy stuff, shopping, and see Wicked)
~ lots of laughing and chatting

All of that with 5 adults and 3 babies. It's going to be an exciting adventure!
Wish us luck. :)

I am also totally looking forward to General Conference next weekend!
This happens twice a year.

This year I will be watching it in Philadelphia in my living room instead of at the conference center ( I will very much miss being able to be there in person! ) Luckily, my family will be here to enjoy it with me!

It will broadcast on TV and on the internet at 10 am Mountain West Time.

This time of year is always SUCH a treat being able to hear living prophets speak to us. It is not only for members of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints to listen to... but for everyone in the entire world! We have a living prophet today, President Thomas S. Monson, who speaks with God and then in turn, speaks to us... just like the olden times like Moses, Adam, Noah, etc. Our Heavenly Father loves us... and He still speaks to us through his prophets. What a blessing!

...Even if you don't believe in our faith... or you've heard different things about our faith... why don't you tune in next weekend and hear what we really believe and see for yourself. :)
